Dressed As A Girl: BFI Screenings SOLD OUT
March 12, 2015

All three BFI screenings of Dressed As A Girl have sold out two weeks ahead of the world premiere.
The frockumentary's director Colin Rothbart was delighted to receive the news this morning. In a statement online he said "Excellent! Wunderbar! Here's to more exciting screenings, and I look forward to seeing everyone at the premiere in London on 22nd March" He will appear alongside the film's cast at a special Q&A following the screening.
Producer Chris Amos said: "It's great to see such high interest in the film. We knew these first screenings would sell fast because everyone is dying to see what Colin's captured on his camera. He's spent six years shooting this documentary with exclusive behind-the-scenes access into the personal lives of some of London's biggest alternative stars"
Further London screenings are expected, possibly in Dalston and Hackney, but nothing has been confirmed yet. The documentary is then set to embark on a tour later this year.
The Dressed As A Girl cast and crew are throwing a special party at Atmos Lounge on 22nd March from 6pm. A £10 donation on the door will go towards distribution costs. Several of the film's cast will do turns and perform at the event as well as other scene icons. Make a date in your drag diary!
